It's been a long time

Geez........I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted here on this little blog. I am always so busy reading everyone else's blog that I don't find the time to update mine. Not only that but find it very intimidating after reading all these wonderful blogs of quilters and quilt store owners, fabric designers and pattern designers. Oooooh brother. What wonderful words they all write.

I so can't believe that the year is already come and gone, it seems like just yesterday I was setting this blog up and now here it is December 19, 2009. Soon to be 2010 ...... just whoa! is all I can say.

I think before the end of the year I am going to write myself a memory post of this years events and post a few pictures from along the way. Then maybe this will bring the year back to me in some small way.

I wish everyone in the blogger land and in this wonderful world a very "MERRY CHRISTMAS"

Gosh it has been a long time since I posted anything. I have been so busy reading everyone else's blog that I haven't even found mine to be interesting at all. There are some amazing bloggers out there. Horray for all of  them, I really enjoy reading all the great news and idea's. It just keeps me alive ...thanks to all you bloggers for feeding us with all this great stuff................

New Life

Well today I will become a "Greatgrandma"  Oh my.  My grandson and his lovely wife are at the hospital right now and have had her labor induced.  So it is just a matter time now when the new little life of a sweet baby girl bounces into this big beautiful world.  Hooray!  I must say.   

Happy New Year

Well I guess the last month and half just zoomed right by.  I was actually gone for 11 days during Christmas and New Years.  It was a nice holiday.  So now we are here in 2009, can you believe that .....2009..... When I was 16, I remember thinking about living until 2009 how totally impossible that seemed at that time in my life.  Well, now some 50 years later here we are feeling just as surprised about 2009.  LOL  Like most of the rest of you, I am thinking clean up and organize.  Also set some goals to reach this new year.  Since sewing is my thing, I of coarse have listed some things I would like to make this year.  And on top of my list is cleaning and organizing my sewing room.  I have made a few items in the past 2 weeks......The pillow on the left is a "Bareroots"  Valentine Stitchery.  The heart on the right is "Crab-apple Hill" Love Notes Pincushion & Needlecase. Both were fun to make and turned out lovely I must say.  You can probably find both patterns at your local quilt shop or online at the website.  So now I am off to do some picking up and starting my new day.  Have a wonderful day..........

How time flies.........

 How time flies is so true......it was just November 2 and here we are at November 16th, and I haven't accomplished anything yet this month.  I feel as though I am always busy.  But have nothing to show for it.  I guess it is just called busy work. LOL  I have been working on 2 quilts and I am almost done with the small angel quilt.  It is pretty cute. I hope to have it done by Wednesday so I can share it at a meeting.  LOL....................

Last week we went to a friends in northern CA........she had these persimmons and I just couldn't take to many pictures of them.  They were all lined up on a table and looked so orange.....lol........just loved the color. Well have a great start on your week.  Agnes

Sunday Fall back time

Fall time and again it is "fall back time".  So now we will be getting up in the sunlight and driving home from work in the dark.  Never have been able to get use to this whole time change thing.  I think they should leave it on one thing and call it good.  It takes a week to get adjusted to the new time either way. 

 I love fall for all the beautiful colors, soft hues and shadows.  It doesn't last very long but it is surely my favorite time.  So I will just relax and enjoy the remainder of fall with glee.  :)

Fall gives  me more time to sew, I have been working on a quilt for  gift.  It has been a bit more challenging then I thought.  Hopefully the quilting will bring it all together.  There was a lot of flying geese and each border had something new on it.  It seemed difficult to make each border fit perfectly.   I will post a picture so you can see my progress.  Take care and have a great Monday......Agnes
